CYBERJAYA: There are over 1000 job opportunities offered by several companies at the CyberSecurity Malaysia Job Fair organized by Cyber Security Malaysia (CSM). The two-day event that takes place from Friday (2/4/2021) until Saturday (3/4/2021) at Menara Cyber Axis, Cyberjaya, is one that offers graduates and professionals looking to switch careers a chance to try out a flourishing industry.
In order to meet the ever-growing demand of cybersecurity solutions, CSM is working hand -in-hand with the cybersecurity industry and the government to provide an avenue for industry players to meet with individuals who have a strong interest and passion in this evolving field, where there are plenty of roles to choose from.
According to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CSM Dato Dr Amirudin Abdul Wahab, there are over 16 companies offering jobs for the cyber security industry.
“To coordinate human resource matching between cyber security organizations and practitioners, under the CyberSecurity Malaysia (CPP) Partnership Program, we organize job fairs to address the shortage of professional manpower and promote cyber security as a career.
“Today, more people are using technology and the Internet to negotiate, do business, learn and socialize on a scale that’s never been seen before.
“Along with its advantages, there are also risks of misuse of technology and the internet and even cyber threats are becoming more sophisticated, causing the demand for skilled cyber security to increase professionally to combat these threats and manage cyber defence,” he said in a statement, issued on Friday.
The first day of the career fair saw an overwhelming number of participants attending the fair to find out for themselves, the choices that awaits them in the cybersecurity industry and to learn first-hand about the companies that are recruiting.
Among the companies that are participating in the career fair are Vigilant Asia (M) Sdn Bhd; SecureMi Sdn Bhd;, System Consultancy Services Sdn Bhd; Huawei Technologies Malaysia Sdn Bhd; Dell Global Business Centre Sdn Bhd, Abyres Holding Sdn Bhd;, YNY Technology Sdn Bhd, and Intellize Tech Services Sdn Bhd.
Several exhibitors from the event were hopeful by the turnout and hoped that more talents will be coming from the local industry itself to help cater to the market demand.
