Malaysia Partners with Ericsson in Billion Ringgit 5G Network

Malaysia partners with Ericsson a Swedish telecommunications organization to help develop 5G network and its ecosystem. A total cost of 11 billion ringgit for the end-to-end development of network in Malaysia will be entrusted to Ericsson. Besides supporting local vendor development and participation, Ericsson are also entrusted with responsibilities such as the core, transport network and radio access, managed systems and operation and operation and business support systems.

This is align with Malaysia goal to launch 5G at it national and administrative capitals of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. The project will help Malaysia to be on track with other countries as we head into the fourth industrial revolution.
