Malaysia Sets Up Cyber Security Command Centre

Malaysia will setup its cyber security command center to enhance and ensure the security and integrity of the country’s cyber space is safeguarded. This is one of the government efforts after reports of several government agencies website was under attack by cyber criminals.

All related agencies will work together under the command centre which reflects the government’s seriousness in the aspect of cyber safety and countering the dissemination of false information. The centre will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, while the Malaysian National Security Council (MKN) functions as its secretariat.
